The Betfred icon is now available on each race while in Racecards.

Clicking on the Betfred icon takes you into the Betfred website where you can see betting as well as place your bets if you have a Betfred account and have logged in. Betfred opens into a new window.

Official statement: "Horses were brought to gallop at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth this morning following some overnight rain. While the riders were willing to start the race meeting, concerns were raised over whether or not the track would hold up for the entire race meeting.

"Following consultation with various stakeholders and in the interests of the safety of horses and riders, a decision was taken to abandon the race meeting of Wednesday 28 June 2023."

Official statement: "Following 29mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, bringing the last 7 days total to 130mm and leaving areas of the track badly waterlogged. A further 20-30mm is in the forecast, therefore a decision has been made to abandon the race meeting at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth scheduled for Sunday 18th June 2023."

However, Fantasy players can play on Turffontein on Sunday (18 June). The nominations will be limited to 10 as it is on any other normal day.

All the entries for the Hollywoodbets Durban July are now on Formgrids.

Today's Vaal meeting (9 May) has been moved to the classic track. The new card will be posted as soon as we get it.

Fantasy software has been updated to make it easier to use by mobile users.

A menu from the hamburger icon on the top left displays a menu in a style familiar to mobile (phone) users. Sub-menus (such as the list of Leaderboard tournaments) are listed in a simple list with a lot of space between the menu items to make it easier to select with a finger.

Racing is at Kenilworth and Greyville today, so each player may do 20 nominations.

Tomorrow it is back to 10 nominations.

Nomination prices are up for:

• Vaal - 25th
• Kenilworth - 26th

The Kenilworth meeting rescheduled for Monday, 24 April has also been abandoned. So there is no racing today but racing resumes tomorrow, 25 April, at the Vaal.

So, today (24 April 2023), is another Fantasy Rest Day.

Racing scheduled for Sunday 23rd April 2023 at Kenilworth has been postponed to Monday 24th April 2023, weather dependent.

So it's a Rest Day today at Fantasy Racing.

Note that today (25 Feb 2023 - Cape Derby Day) you can nominate up to 15 horses.

In March Fantasy Racing with Betfred will be starting the daily tournaments.

Each day has a prize money of R500. The prize money will be split

• R250 to the winner,
• R150 to the runner-up
• and 3rd place gets R100.

But, here is where the madness comes in: Make a deposit at Betfred on the same day and your prize will be doubled.

"Further to our correspondence yesterday afternoon , Turffontein received a further 17mm of rainfall overnight while the Vaal received 16mm of rainfall overnight.

"All three tracks are waterlogged and unsafe for racing."

We always listen to our users. The following changes were requested to make Fantasy Racing easier to use:

• We added the Registration button now on the top navigation bar. New users cannot miss it now. The button will disappear when a user logs in as there is no point to register then.
• A new menu item Tournaments has been added. The Fantasy administrator will list all the current tournaments with information about each one such as the prize money.
• On the drop down menu from Home there is a Testimonials menu item. You are welcome to use any of these to invite to come and play on Fantasy Racing.

As there is no racing on Monday, both Formgrids and Fantasy Racing websites will become unavailable intermittently during the day and evening of Monday, 6 February.

We thought we would use this opportunity so that we can have a 100% up time when racing is on.

Message from Gold Circle:

Due to the paucity of Declarations, the race meeting scheduled at HB Greyville on Monday, 6 February has been cancelled.

Note that we changed the nominations closing time method. The closing time is no longer at 11:30.

Nominations now close 5 minutes before the start of the race the nominations are for.

We added the My Results page which can be accessed from Play.

This page is similar to the Results page but it only shows your results plus it also shows the horses you nominated but that didn't place. Those will be in red.
